A place to visit, a place to take a walk… like a marquis.
Exotic of plant species from around the world, archaeological remains on display in the Loring Museum, a small, Doric-style building erected on the site of a Roman mosaic discovered in Cartama depicting the feats of Hercules…
But I want to tell how my visit was.
The Botanical Garden is 20 minutes drive from Benalmádena. It´s very easy to arrive. It has enough parking, so to park is not a problem. Once you get into , start to delight your eyes.
Inside you can choose from a variety of different routes depending on the time available. Your visit should be carefully planned, as it can take over six hours to see all of the various gardens and collections.
Maybe… you will need a second visit.
The garden has a bus, so you have the possibility to see all the garden in just a visit.
Don´t forget your camera, for over the walk there are always something to photograph.
The weather… well, I went a day into the hotweave and it wasn´t hot. Almost all the garden are shade and fresh.
Once point to have in mind, is the uphill, stairs and some narrows roads.
When you reach the top, you can see a panoramic view over Málaga:
Walking around, you can image how the high society lived a hundred years ago, in his palace, with his own places to enjoy, his fantastics dresses… Let you imagination fly!
